Neutrino physics: collaboration with Fermilab

The University of Bern and Fermilab signed an agreement in September governing their collaboration on neutrino experiments. Research into these elementary particles – also known as ghost particles since they are extremely difficult to detect – could shed light on the earliest stages of the universe's development. This is the first agreement between a Swiss university and the US research center Fermilab, one of the world's foremost laboratories for neutrino physics.
